Tata's latest offering, the Tigor, can now be booked across Tata dealerships in the country. One can book the car by paying a token amount of Rs 5000.
The Tigor is based on Tata's latest hatchback, the Tiago. Tata has broken free from a conventional compact sedan design, and has tried a unique notchback styling approach ("Styleback" in Tata talk). On the engine front, the Tigor carries over the 85PS 1.2-litre petrol and the 70PS 1.05-litre diesel mill. Both engines will only be available with a 5-speed manual transmission for the time being. The Tigor does have what it takes to be the next big thing from Tata Motors, especially considering its rumoured price tag of Rs 4.2 lakh to Rs 6.5 lakh. That slots it a rung lower than Tata's other compact sedan, the, prices for which span from Rs 5.24 lakh to Rs 8.68 lakh.
